Identification of Key Factors in Successful Implementation of Knowledge Management in Military Settings: A comparative Analysis of Aerospace Organizations

Abstract
A number of general factors affect successful implementation of Knowledge management, but each organization is characterized by a particular set of factors. Organizations are mainly concerned with identifying such factors facilitating their accomplishment in this trend. This study was an attempt to  focus on aerospace organizations in terms of such factors through a comparative analysis with a number of foreign military organizations. As a mixed method in design, the study collected its data from 152 participants (i.e. manegers and experts) from the Iranian Aerospace organization based on random-sampling, who answered a questionnaire. Factor analysis results revealed seven factors including development of human resources, strategy and objective, information systems, knowledge evaluation and transfer, modeling, individual involvement, and cultural participation enjoyed the lightest loadings among the factors affecting KM. Results of the comparative analysis supported key roles for human , technology and structure as the most effective parameters.
