Use of ITIL and COBIT in IT Service Management in Organizations

Abstract
One of the key problems a head of world organizations and business enterprises refers to management of IT resources and their development in line with realizing organization’s macro plans. Parallel to business and IT developments at global scale, various attitudes and managerial and organizational approaches have emerged mainly aiming at measures with respect to business promotion and survival.
IT infrastructure library is taken as a comprehensive and institutionalized framework in IT service management which has been established on the basis of collecting the best world experiences. It is totally a process-oriented model established in the form of two aspects service rendering and service support (along with managing applied soft wares, infrastructure management, security and business vision) it is, in fact, a guide framework for IT managers involved in IT infrastructure management and improvement. It enables them to make sure of the level of services in the organization and provide the required infrastructures based on an already planned framework.
Designing the model, an inevitable need for senior management, is identified as an indication of the organizational growth in IT service management based on international model rendering high quality and sustainable services,.
Holding a process-oriented approach, reviewing the current model in IT service management and gaining knowledge on its nature, this study aims at suggesting a sound plan (including organization growth model) for IT service management.
